Golden Visa through Company Acquisition
It is possible to obtain the Golden Visa in Portugal through the acquisition of companies. This is one of the eligible investment options for the program, allowing the investor to acquire a stake of at least 50% of the share capital of a Portuguese company. The minimum required investment is 500,000 euros.
To obtain the Golden Visa through company acquisition, the investor must meet the following requirements:
- Be a citizen of a third country that is not a member of the European Union, the European Economic Area, or Switzerland;
- Invest at least 500,000 euros in acquiring a stake of at least 50% of the share capital of a Portuguese company;
- Maintain the investment for at least five years;
- Provide evidence that the company is based in Portugal and is active;
- Demonstrate that the company creates at least five jobs.
